"I found another solution!
Since i didn't have OneDrive installed since a long time ago, the solution posted didn't work for me. Neither did i have that folder option activated this whole time.
My Problem was apparently, that i moved my Documents folder to a different partition and not only that i made my entire other drive into a Documents folder by accident.
So what i had to do was get into my Registry via the editor and find the following path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User Shell Folders (you can copy this into the file path of your reg editor to instantly get to it.
once in there, i simply clicked on "Personal" and changed the directory to have one more junction so in my case it was "E:\Documents" now.
After this its best if you restart your PC. Once done, you have to manually copy all the Folders like the one for Horizon Forbidden West into the new folder and you should be able to both auto and manually save again!"
3rd party antivirus software may provide similar functionality as well.

Edit: Seems like I replied too late, OP solved the problem already.
