Saving game

Hello i just bought Horizon forbidden west on PC today but no matter what i do it cannot save the game so if i exit it i have to restart all over. I have tried many options now such as uninstalled game repairing game, uninstalled steam and installed it again, and nothing works

Guys, not to be mean, but please use the "Search discussions" box on the right side of the main page, and use SAVE as the search topic.

This problem has been discussed dozens of times over the last couple of days and many different solutions have been posted. The most popular solution is in the FAQ pinned at the top of the main discussions page.

When you first start the game there's a tutorial. You play it until you get to Meridian. There is no manual save until then. But there are a lot auto saves. So worry not.
After Meridian you can manually save at the occasional fires. You see them on your map.

How do you people not now how to save? Its even explained in the Notebook IN the game.

As i wrote in the description, it wont save at any point. Not even manual save at campfire... So if you don't have anything that will help me kindly ♥♥♥♥ off joridiculous

As in the predecessor, the fireplaces are the save points, and yes, they can only be found after Meridien.

There are a lot of autosafes, -.- I died in the first fight against the "weasel mecha" and was back again shortly before the fight. So there are a lot of autosaves.
You will see this when you press "Load Game".
"Manual saving" only works at the fire pits, which can be found normally in the area.

almost 16 hours in, not a single problem with saves. Its a YOU problem. Get some knowledge

It's a technical problem, not a problem with people incorrectly following instructions.

It affects people whose systems are not letting third party programs write to the My Documents folder for the game saves. There can be a variety of reasons why a system is preventing that, most solutions have already been posted in earlier threads. That's why I suggested people use the search bar to read the previous solutions posted. Not every solution will work the same for everyone because the reasons may be different.

Just because you don't have an issue with game dosen't mean others can't have issues you wet wipe. Now please be kind and ♥♥♥♥ off since you clearly have no intention of helping. I don't care how long you are in the game and no problem with saving. IM TELLING YOU I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH SAVING AND I CAME HERE TO FIND A SOLUTION TO IT BUT INSTEAD YOU COME HERE BEING A SMARTASS WHICH HAS NO HELP FOR ME OR ANYONE ELSE ENCOUNTERING THIS PROBLEM. Only problem is that it wont save, not quick save, not manual save not autosave. As SOON as i enter the game where the tutorial starts it pops up with a message saying the game won't save

where did you buy it? it can also, funnily enough, be an anti-cheat method. XD
It may also be that you have to say at the beginning when running the game "yes, my data from the game can be checked"
They asked the question at the beginning “can we collect data?”
