I have a 5600X and a 3060ti. No issue for me. Try tweaking your graphics settings. For me, level of detail, cloud detail and translucency did the trick. No DLSS used.

Also, if you using a ps5 controller wirelessly, try plugging it in. There are problems with that, at least up to todays patch

The game is well optimized before the embassy. After actually gettin into the forbidden west .. the game suddenly goes ape mode. The embassy cutscene was a slideshow. Lil bit bummed out about it. It's not unplayable tho.

True the embassay cutscene was absolutely tragic to watch, not because of the deaths but what my eyes had to go through

Strange, never had that issue at all, Probably because i use DS4Windows for my controller instead of steam input?

I dunno about all that. I play with mouse and keyboard. I just read alot of posts here talking about performance with wireless PS5 controllers. And todays patch notes mention it too.

"Release Notes

Fix for performance regression when using a DualSense controller wirelessly
Fix for missing prompts when connecting a controller after starting the game, while using Steam Input"

Before I started playing I watched Digital Foundry's video where they stated that VRAM usage exceeding what your card could handle would cause major fps issues.

If you are running very high textures 1440p, or high textures & above 1440p maybe that's the issue. But it could be something else.
Edit: This comment is specifically for 8 gb cards assuming you have DLSS Q, but I'm assuming VRAM could be an issue with other GPU's too.
