Looks better with RTX HDR + Dynamic Vibrance than with its own HDR
With its native HDR support, the dark areas look too dark. I can lighten some of them up by adjusting configuration, but only to a degree.

I've found that if I turn in-game HDR off and instead turn RTX HDR on - the game looks much, MUCH better!

My settings are:
In-game HDR: off
In-game brightness: 50%

RTX HDR: all defaults, except Contrast - set it to 50
RTX Dynamic Vibrance - either all defaults, or if you don't like dark areas to be too bright - lower Intensity to something like 30, or even 25.

Trust me: it's WAAAAY better than in-game HDR!

1. You must have NVidia app installed
2. With it installed - you can either configure the settings in it, or press ALT-F3 while in game.

It does make sense, a lot of games don't implement correctly for various NIT values but Nvidia APP can work on driver level

I don't think being in the driver makes any difference. It's just RTX HDR + Dynamic Vibrance give you more control, and you can see the results in real time, so you can just fiddle with sliders until you find the sweet spot! ;)

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
