Bows deal damage only to weak points

So I don't know if it's a bug, or a feature, but apparently I can deal damage with my bow only when shooting of the "weak points" of bots.
In HZD I could also shoot main body for some smaller damage, but now it seems to just bounce off.
Especially weird when I'm shooting the eye of a Burrower, which is supposed to be his weak point, but still deals no damage to it - arrows just stick in the enemy but to no effect.
Is it a feature to force us to use more melee combat?

Check the damage type, you will probably find that the bow you are using has a lot of Tear damage and not much Impact damage. Try switching to a bow that does more Impact damage, and try applying either the Frost or Acid element beforehand.

Thank you for the advice, but it turned out to be some bug.
I restarted the game and it's working as it used to :D
Damage type was not the problem - I'm using Sharpshooter bow with high impact damage - thats why i was suprised.

you better stay in the grass with that bow. im going stealth/longbow too.
