I just saw some footage from someone called I.Eat.Games on youtube about a silent strike trial 2 years ago and its the exact same issue, doesn't matter if strike comes from above or a normal silent strike. Most others seem to make a silent strike vs human enemies compilation or showcase the first mission where you should silent strike the burrower but they just shoot it.
Guess I have to take your word for it, at the moment those animations are just awful and seemed to be an early issue plaguing Playstation as well.
I just booted up my PS5 to check, based on my 2 kills, the issue is not present.
I bought HFW on PS5 well after it was released, so it's possible it was an early issue they had fixed by the time I played. I agree it looks like ♥♥♥♥ on PC, hopefully they fix it.
