Controller issue

Why is the PS5 controller work like ♥♥♥♥? Come on! I don't get UI tips for controller keybindings and i wasn't able to open door when i had to hold the button! I had to do it with mouse button.
First 30 min of game and already got enough!

When using Steam Input, connecting a controller after starting the game can cause some icons to disappear, which can block their actions. While we work on a fix, you can try the following workarounds: restart the game (and make sure the controller is connected while starting the game), or disable Steam Input.

Yep. It's game on Steam and it's suggested by Steam. And it says that's "official controller configuration". So why shouldn't I use it?

it's a translation layer that helps with unsupported games. this game is fully supported so you should not use it. obviously it should still work and I'm sure they'll fix it soon. you can refund the game if you have issue with that. also in general don't buy pc games day 1

SteamInput is a 3rd party input emulator while the game has native Xinput and DualSense supprt s it's not really needed.

SteamInput also has some known critical flaws of its own.
