Poor Optimisation
I wish devs would play their game and optimise it before launch.... Even with dlss, the game is stuttering. It is not a performance problem, it's a software issue.

Every setting maxed on 32:9 1440p - effectively 4k - and it runs smooth as butter. I think I've noticed a pop-in far off in the background during one tutorial cutscene and occasionally a machine headlight will kind of pop way too big way off in the distance, but performance wise this is one of the best launches I've seen for a game this visually impressive.

I'm sorry you're having issues. There will always be someone who has problems unfortunately. That's the nature of PC gaming. This is an excellent port though. It runs smooth, no major bugs and looks absolutely amazing.

I'm playing at 4K with DRS targeting 60 fps and haven't had any real issues. 5800X3D, 7900XT and 32GB ram. I tried native 4K with no DRS but some heavy areas in the beginning have me at 55 fps. Since my OLED TV doesn't have VRR a 60 fps lock is necessary.

Apparently the software runs fine and the game currently has a 93% review score.

Sometimes it's OK to act like a responsible person, by taking the blame yourself instead of blaming everything else.

That kind of attitude will also help you in real life.

Try to turn of HAGS fix weird stutters for me

Hi, could you do a test on 1080p with all settings maxed out? I have a 10700K with 3080 12GB and I'm worried the CPU will be too weak. I'd appreciate very much if you could give me a hint here.

I'm playing on high settings (no dlss/FSR) and getting 45-60 with a 9700k, 2070 (8gb) at 1080p. So it depends on what you're expecting FPS wise. I do get some cutscenes dropping to 20fps, which seems to be some sort of bug.

I was hoping for a stable 60fps. I think the 3080 should do it, but with the 10700K I am not sure. Played Plague Tale Requiem recently and had some stutters when moving camera, especially in crowded areas like towns with many NPCs. CPU load was much higher than GPU, so CPU was bottleneck here.

i9 10900 and RTX3080 plus 32gb ram
The game runs very well, 65-85 fps, playing 2K
But it's true that, during cutscenes, fps go down to 20. Weird.

Played just over 3 hours and performance has been fantastic, except the cut scenes of course. At native 1440p, DLAA, maxed settings + frame gen I'm seeing upto 10.5gb vram allocated (not sure of actual usage without hwinfo open) and getting 90-130 fps. Frametimes are very good, but again not in cutscenes.

9900k, 4070, installed on nvme drive and windows 10.

This doesn't mean much without your specs and your settings. Quite often, this kind of thing is just a user being stubborn about what they think their system "should" do when they could just use slightly lower settings and say, "Oh, this looks basically the same, now to enjoy my game".

It's playing great for me on a 3070 laptop btw (i.e. far from the power of a real 3070). 21:9 1440p, mostly High and Med, DLSS, easy 60fps. It's clearly well optimised if I'm able to do this on a relatively weak machine.
I have an RTX 3070 Ti with 32 GB of ram at 3600 MHz and an i7 11700f with an M2 SSD at 7500 mb/s and the game runs very poorly, it takes more than 7 minutes to load my game, which does not happen to me, for example in Uncharted. , marvels spiderma, tlou (on launch day) and the performance is very bad, I am playing it at 1440p and it goes at 40-50 fps with dlss performance

even my laptop with hdd load faster this game, definitely its on your end
I honestly don't know why it takes so long to load when there are other games that take seconds to load, it only happens to me in this game
ZunZunRun Mar 23, 2024 @ 10:10am
Runs very well (130 fps) until you get to embassy cutscene (11 fps).
It clearly is a developper issue since my gpu drops fropm 170W to 50W.
Maverick81PL Mar 23, 2024 @ 10:12am
max settings 1400p, without DLSS and Frame Generator ON with DLAA, over 100FPS all time, smooth like butter.
B0nerLand Mar 23, 2024 @ 10:17am
Everyone has updated their graphics drivers right? i'm running on a 5820k and it seems to run fine so far. 1440p with dlss. Don't think it's cpu bound. if you have hot temperatures you might need to clean your fan or new thermal paste. You might be getting poor performance due to thermal throttling

ryzen 5 5600x
Gigabyte RTX 4070 Windforce OC
2x16 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3600mhz cl18

Everything on maxed. 1440p, DLAA, no upscaling and no shade rating, No frame gen.
My lowest fps was under a cutscene for 1-2 seconds around 70. Otherwise im getting steady 90-110 fps open world

I dont understand these posts. The optimization is awesome.
