Error message: "This game requires a CPU that supports F16C commands"

I have an "Intel i7-3930".
CPU-World writes: "The CPU includes NO AVX2, F16C and FMA3 instructions"!
It's over 10 years old, but I've never had any problems with it!!!
The first part of Horizon also went great!
I'll probably have to give the game back!

I didn't complain, I just explained my problem so that others with the same problem can get information!
I also can't have Widows 11, which is less of a shame.
I think the problem comes from porting XBox(?) to PC.
Only you can know whether it is worthwhile for the developer to implement a software solution!
And for the chatterboxes here: My system with i7-3930, TitanX graphics card, 32GB, two 4T SSDs and water-cooled is certainly still more powerful than what most of you have!
And just for one game, I won't buy a new system!

So it's funny to make fun oi someone's decades old CPU but AVX as a requirement means it will never work on ARM via translation layers like Crossover. Maybe only about 0.2% of people will ever care about that, but if you've played HZD on a Mac using crossover, not being able to play this is a bit annoying. Very few games require it, so even though it's been around for 12 years, it's completely unnecessary. Intel has not licensed to anyone.

Almost, the same thing happened with Uncharted. It was requiring AVX2, they removed, game runs like a champ even on old sandies. It's not a matter of upgrading the system. It's a matter of principle. Please remove the F16C requirement and use a fallback mode.

Yeah, you're being a bit delusional here. A 2080Ti which is 2 generations old makes the Titan look like a toy

i7-2600k only has "AVX"... Can't the Nixxes official staff make these CPUs without "F16C" to run this game ? just like Naughty Dog/Iron Galaxy's games...

I plan to upgrade to the 15900k platform ASAP by the end of the year , so this period is very awkward...

If there is really no solution , I also hope that the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima will not have "F16C" restrictions at lesat...

Considering your CPU is 13 years old, i think youre more than due for an upgrade before you complain about a game released in 2022.

I dont want to be patronising but you do realize your cpu was released in 2011? Thats 13 years ago, F16C became a standard part of Intel CPU's in 2013 afaik with the Ivy Bridge CPU's.

I think if it was that easy to run the game without f16c instruction set, the authors would have done so.
