Steam Deck Support

The updated pinned FAQ & Knowledge Database thread is listing "Steam Deck" as supported controller. So can Steam Deck be considered as officially supported? The Shop page is not showing any information regarding Steam Deck support up to now.

The Steam Deck is considered by Steam as a replacement for the PC so you can enjoy the games on Steam anywhere. Not having Steam Deck support would be kinda silly in that respect.

Game have FSR and bunch of settings to change. 30FPS will be avaialable i bet. My OLED waiting to test :D

If the developers are saying Steam Deck is a supported input device, I feel that sends a strong signal that they've internally tested it and found it to be acceptable to their standards.

Obviously, that doesn't mean it passes everything that's required for verification.

Steam Deck is a Linux based system with limited hardware. There are many Steam games out there that do not run on Steam Deck. In addition, how good a game runs differs from game to game from just "runnable" to "fully supported". So it would be good to get an official statement by Guerilla Games what we can expect.

you know that steam deck have only linux as base system and you have something like prothon, prothonge and run all PC games without issue? And not olny from steam, epic, gog, ea, ubisoft

Playing all my games without any issue (exept performance in some new games)

full support for steam deck (yea layont for gamepad from steam deck only)

ps4, only dlc is from ps5

It does run returnal (not verified) that was a ps5 exclusive.

I don't expect this to run that well off the bat but this is Nixxes we're talking about I'm confident they'll have it optimsed for Steam Deck in no time.

i have a feeling that the game will have a "original" preset like god of war with ps4 graphics and 30fps. Also fsr3? i do hope so

Oh the pinned FAQ at the top of this forum. Found it.

It seems to me that that only guarantees that the Steam Deck controller fully works. In theory you might stream it on your Deck so no guarantees yet until we try it. Unless it works well natively I will probably stream it.

If you have a good router streaming works really well. It used to suck but I recently upgraded my internet and got a new wifi router and streaming is amazing. I can now play games at full ultra quality streaming from desktop. And the battery lasts 5+ hours. It's a game changer. Literally.

From the release news post:
'We will continue to make optimizations to improve compatibility on handheld PC gaming devices.'.

That definitely doesn't bode well for Steam Deck performance.
