pretty sure it comes as download or a steam item (or it unlocks for ya if the buy date is before release?)

Right, I mean do those that have already pre-ordered it see any dlc in their library? I bought a cd key for it but I'm wondering if I'm supposed to have the pre-order bonus as a dlc on my acc or if I'm gonna get it day of release

The pre-order bonuses will either appear in your Stash, which you can access in Chainscrape once you get thru the tutorial section. Or they will appear as an item you can purchase from a particular vendor, for a single shard IIRC (I think this is the pre-order bow, which can't be purchased until you enter the DLC area, which is late game).

This is how the pre-order bonuses on PS4/PS5 worked.

So there's essentially no indication on your steam acc that the bonus is there besides logging into the game and checking there?

I vaguely remember the DLC tab only becoming available after launch though I'm not sure. Usually the preorder and non-preorder are divided into separate depots on SteamDB.info, which might be the case here? Can't see the contents, considering they're encrypted.

They have a depot for DLC's and it's listed on the DLC tab. There doesn't seem to be a "preorder" package that lists what depots you get access to. We'll just see at launch xD...

For now, I think so yeah, which is rather incredibly stupid. DLC tab will become available after launch I'm guessing and then it is visible of course.

Yes, but it is very minimal. 1 outfit and 1 bow.

And, what are the various indications that show that you have received the pre-order bonus items? And, is there going to be an immediate patch, even after the pre-load?

I got the pre-order dlc after it released today, so it comes as dlc in my library

If you linked your account through other games (i.e Returnal and such). Should be automatically linked.

So you must go to the dlc area to gain the preorder bonuses ? That kinda dumb ?

When you open the detail page of the game, it says on the right 'manage my 1 DLC'. All the bonus content is for sale for 1 shard, when it is time, so you do not get everything at once
