I have bought like 20 AAA games on release day from Cdkeys and haven't had a problem once. Probably a good idea to pay with Pay Pal though.
its sat in the box doing nothing all this time, i think id have a problem buying this game full price (i still would, but if there is an option to get it cheaper I will)
This depends on jurisdiction. I am not going to pretend to be an expert in this field, but in the EU, there is a Principle of Exhaustion of Copyrights. It essentially means that, once the initial rights holder sells a copy or key, then they have exhausted their distribution right (of that single item), permitting resale. They can't have their cake and eat it.
This legitimises key resale *provided those keys were obtained through a legal channel*.
If it's not a discounted steam-sale game I always buy at a key shop (mmoga/ kinguin/ instant gaming etc.). Never had any issues with neither of them.
Always do some research on the website you're shopping from or you could find your games gone from your account. It's unlikely but it can and has happened to people before.
The shadynesss seems to come from the users instead of the actual site/company there, not far away from how Ebay or such would work.
I prefer Greenmangaming or Fanatical these days
