I want to push back at the OP, however: If you didn't find the older game compelling ... I think you really should consider that you might not find this newer game compelling. As a test, try putting in a few hours with the older game. If you find it meh, you might very well find this new game meh. You can then look at the full price for this new game and decide whether, for you, a meh game at that price is ok. Or you could wishlist this new game and wait for a discount. Or you can just walk on by this game and look for something else.
