Ray tracing maybe?
I'm hoping the PC version has some sort of RT added or RTAO?

I couldn’t care less. It might even be a waste of time. The game is already the best looking open world game on console, hands down. It will look even better on PC as it is. I never once thought “I wish this game had raytracing” while I was playing it on PS5. It looks that good already.
only people who say they couldn't care are the ones with a average PC... others do want the feature. and its actually tie with Avatar for best looking game..

Sorry, but no....the game could have the best features in quality graphics in the whole gaming world and still be utterly trash because the gameplay sucks and/or the story sucks, looking good, doesn't make it good.

PS5 version has some RT. Check graphics modes comparison. On the highest qulity mode(idr how they call it) the reflections are more detailed and pretty much look like they're ray traced

It has screen-space reflections (as most games have for many years), which are technically ray-traced but only based on what's visible to the camera, it doesn't trace the entire scene or around objects that block larger objects (including the player character). So no-one actually calls it ray-tracing because it doesn't do the things we want of that.

SSR is rasterized reflections.IIRC there are true RT reflections in PS5 quality mode.I don't have a console so can't check that

No...Avatar blows everything else away with cyberpunk being a close second...

Avatar looks still good but is SEVERLY downgraded from the original reveal trailer, looks nothing like that. Based on that I'm disappointed how the retail version looks. But it's on me, Ubisoft is known for that kind of stuff, I should have known better.
wrong. it was never downgraded. the trailer was all PC footage. the downgrade you're seeing is console version. there's hidden graphic settings on PC you can unlock. thats prob what they showed on trailers

They patched it and can't access that setting anymore via shortcut. but yeah

The game not have ray tracing but I say the graphics better then Cyberpunk 2077 for all side. Ray tracing are marketing by Nvidia only. I play on PS5
No Ray tracing is not marketing for Nvdia only, hence why sony are doing everything to add ray tracing support. Nice try though.

This game not need that, you can try after release, the graphics much better then Cyberpunk 2077, exclusive in character model HFW much high texture and detail then Cyberpunk 2077

Agreed, ray tracing have patent from Nvidia. But I hope in PS5 PRO, we have ray tracing AMD version.
Some games have ray tracing but I think just small different with games without ray tracing, and some games without ray tracing technology have better graphics like Batman Arkham Knight, HFW, Tshushima

You can only patent specific implementations, not broad concepts. Nvidia doesn't hold any patent on ray-tracing itself. The reason a lot of games have lightweight ray tracing is because AMD doesn't have dedicated hardware for it, they section off some of the regular compute units to do ray calculations that would otherwise be used for rasterised rendering.
I have an AMD card, no RT for me :(

I'm sure there will be rtx mods
cube 16. März 2024 um 13:04
You can't mod full scene ray-tracing into DX12 games (or any game that uses programmable shaders). RTX Remix only works with older fixed-function pipeline games (static shaders) and the Reshade RTGI plugin is screenspace only.

SSR actually uses ray marching, not ray tracing.
