And don't think Horizon Forbidden West will be any worse.
you wish...
what kind of hardware does it need ?
i've seen numerous benchmarks with all graphical settings in both games (and all other playstation exclusives so far released on pc) AND additionally i've verified this by playing it on my pc which has a rtx 4070 gpu by playing through ALL already rleeased playstation exclusives (Well, i just started ratchet and clank but played until the entire first rift sequence)
and maxed out those playstation exclusives look MUCH better on Pc and obviously require much more power. on ps5 settings (which usually are medium to high pc settings and not all ultra!) the game's run nearly identical on pc than on ps5 with the same pc hardware that matches the ps5 performance, which basically is around a rtx 2070 !
on pc those playstation exclusives have so far been EXCLUSIVELY MUCH BETTER looking and obviously to the raised graphical fidelity and quality requiring much more performance (you could compare those pc versions of playstation exclusives to a ps5 pro version once the ps5 pro is going to be released in around 1-1.5 years from now :P if the ps5 pro has around 60% more power than the normal ps5)
on pc so far the playstation exclusives have massively outshined their ps5 counterparts IF you have the system to run them maxed out !
As for the 3d audio I have an x-fi card (CMSS-3d) that does exactly the same thing tempest does and yes it works in ALL 3d games without needing EAX support. It's actually a universal effect.
The "PC graphics better" narrative is dead. The PS5 version runs all these games at maximum settings other than shadows.
Your only hope of this being true is if they add path tracing, which they wont.
Death Stranding is also running on this engine.
However, I am looking forward playing this on pc, on my QD-OLED 21:9 display with the level of detail of the PS5 fidelity mode but with 60+ fps on top. Which means higher resolution and more details for particle effects and reflections and whatever they are able to put on top of the features especially for pc.
Because as great as the PS5 version is, there are still compromises here and there that you simply don't have to make on PC.
And yet I will still buy Horizon 3 for the PS5 (or PS5 Pro) when it comes out and play it two years ahead of time. PC and console can peacefully coexist. :)
And with Sonys strategy it is always up to the person: Are you a patient one, then just wait. Or do you always want to play new games when they release? Then don't.
As long as the Playstation retail market is alive and healthy you don't even have to invest that much money. Buy, play, sell and make the next player happy who can buy is cheapter from you.
What exactly does that card do? Create 3D audio?
