Wat is the best Offense class/power?

Im going to play DC soon and i personally love being a DPS-er but in Dc theres just Defense, Control and Healing. Im like the gadjets power but im wondering is it good for being a Dps-er or good for Offense? If its not then wat is the best Offense/Dps class?
P.S im a FTP player so i cant buy powers like light, electricity or earth so just tell me the best DPS/offense among the free powers.

Pick anything. You can DPS as any class. Just specialize in it.

There is no "best" in an mmo. One month one class might be a little ahead than the next it can be nerfed into the ground. I'd say just look up some youtube videos on high level play of the different classes and see what looks cooler to you

if you're looking for offensive....i would go with one of the tank powers such as fire or ice

For DPS? I'd say whatever you find the easiest to use, or at least the most fun. Try a little bit of everything, see what works best for you. Like Zero Hour said, look up some guides, and go for whatever you think is coolest.
