Why did they change Booster Gold's voice?
I know this happened a while back, but I don't remember any reasons given. I thought maybe they fired the voice actor or something, but Calculator (who I understand is voiced by the same person) sounds the same.

Yeah, Tracy Bush, who used to voice Booster Gold, still voices Calculator, Deathstroke, and Ambush Bug, so it's not like they couldn't get him back. Why they replaced BG's voice is probably the biggest mystery in the game.

As far as I know this is because DC comics said to the developers that his voice was not heroic enough -_- Also developers said that people was confused if the voice of Booster and Calculater was following each other because of the same actor(yet I never would have know that it was the same actor if I havent read about it on the wiki). As far as I know most of the players prefer the old voice over the new one yet probably developers cant do anything about it.

Hmm. I only seem to remember the second one. Maybe I wasn't playing close enough attention. Anyway, I prefer the second one. Booster is supposed to be an over-the-top character with ridiculously exaggerated tones and all of that. The second one captured that well in my mind. The recasting that I've noticed have seemed to be for the better across the board. However, I doubt they'll ever find anyone better for Joker since Hamill isn't playing the character anymore :( Some people have gotten close, but not recently. I'm not a fan of the Arkham Origins voice or *shudders* the one on Young Justice. Injustice: Gods Among Us wasn't bad though.

The thing about Mark Hamill, even after he officially retired from being the Joker...he still came back to record new lines for the Last Laugh DLC. Though he's also on record saying he's in if they ever want to do an animated adaptation of the Killing Joke.

Are you sure you're talking about the new voice? Because to me he just sound bored or just reading the text without emotions most of the time while old one sounds like he's talkin with the smile on his face - for example at the moment when he talks about monkeys not being fun and almost laughing by himself at the same moment while the new voice reads it with no emotions whatsoever.

The old Booster Gold reminds me of Chris Bores, the Irate Gamer. I understand a lot of people hate him (they think he's a blatant rip-off of the Angry Video Game Nerd), but that can't be a good enough reason to change the voice, especially since it's not even the same person.

And that's BG in a nutshell. Watch the JLU episode "The Greatest Story never Told." He's not some over-the-top hero, he's some average guy who really wants to be a hero, but isn't particularly good at it.

That's actually funny because as I already said DC thought he didnt sound heroic enough unlike the new one. Also if for you

? Because it sounds like the old voice pretty much doing your image of the character. For me new voice will always sound like an old bored man but I guess to each his own.
