Cant do anything

so i just started like yesterday, and after creating i cant do anything...i just get in and am on braniac's ship and i have to defeat the guard, but i dont have anything and cant attack it at it doesn't aggro and after some time i get disconnected...i have no clue on how to fix this. Can anyone help?

Your system security might be blocking the connection. Or your internet is terrible. Not sure.

Do you have your weapon equipped? Does it still have more than 0 durability?

What happens when you do mouse clicks?

i don't have any weapons, and nothing happens when i click my mouse

I assume he is having that lag when you can do actions but nothing is affected and nothing takes damage like just before you get disconnected. Except he is bugged with no equipment apparently.

Check if your internet connection is a broadband connection. Satelite connections don't work so well for DCUO.
Make sure the mouse is working correctly. Check ingame if the keybinds are alright.

Then create your character again and try once more.

did that....4 times already, i have verizon fios for internet so that isn't a problem either.

Do Vallidate Game Assets from the Launchpad's options. Add DCUO as an exception to your security software.

That's the last suggestion I can give. You can contact the Daybreak support to ask for help - they might know this problem and a fix.

well apparently i dont even have skills or powers when i log in, i looked and i have nothing, i selected sorcery for my power yet my inv says level 1 tech hero...idk what to do now

You start with no powers or skills, just basic weapon attacks (lunge and block breaker) and your character type is based off your mentor not your power. WW = magic, batman = tech, superman = meta if i remember correctly.

yea i realized it, my friend logged on and got me through the tutorial but its when i log back on i have nothing like i said before, nothing shows up in my inv etc even though im out of braniac's ship

I'm having somewhat the same problem except the game constantly freezes I turnrd of my firwall while I play and verifying game assets now getting really frustrated this is one of my favorite games.

Constant freezes are a significant hint to performance problems. Make sure you have enough free RAM available before starting DCUO (1 GB) and reduce the graphicssettings, even the resolution if you have to.

I don't think teh game is bugged, but more like that you are misunderstanding what you see and how the game works.

1. you start with nothing but a weapon equipped and basic weapon combos. These combos are executed with the mouse. You can look at the available combos by pressing F1 or by pressing K and then navigating from Skills to Weapons
2. You start with no powers and that is why your power bar is entirely empty. It will remain empty until you spend your PowerPoints on Powers, by pressing K.
3. Read the instructions in the middle of the screen. They are essential to be able to escape the Braniac ship and further on in the game.

In addition to that, DCUO needs a stable broadband connection or it will not work correctly, eg. attacks will not register, enemies not appear, power bar, inventory and other menus blank...

well, nothing works, hell i even walk up to the guard and it doesn't even notice me. i have a really stable boradband connection (otherwise my brother with the EXACT SAME computer would have problems, he doesn't). what im saying is NOTHING works and i can't do anything, its like a lagg thing in a game where you see people move and you can move but nothing is actually effected (i hope you know what im talking about).

Yes, it sounds like you lag and you are the only one who can find out why.

If you know what I am talking about, then you should try a pathping to check your connection. If you have no clue, then there is nothing more I can suggest.
