Loading screens not working.

When the game is loading I see a flash of a character's loading screen and then it goes to a frozen screen of whatever the last shot of the game was. For example if I'm on the character select screen and log into the game I will see a flash of Zatanna (etc) and then a frozen shot of my character on the loading screen. This has been happening since I started playing the game a few months ago. Anyone else experiencing this?

Probably a problem with your graphiccard or other drivers. Or your security software blocks the game.

You can check if the game files are ok: Do "Validate Game Assets" in the launchpad.

i have the same issue, my PC is in optimal condition (graphics card included) my drivers are up to date, what security software .. i use built in by MS (defender windows 8.1) for some reason if i play the game in windowed mode or fullscreen at any resolution that's not 1080p the loading screens show but when i'm running fullscreen 1080p it shows exactly the same .. dark transparent screen of the last moment with the loading symbol. I have validated the assets, i have deleted the game, re-downloaded it, installed it from the site, on steam, i even re-installed windows (not for this reason) and it still does the same... any ideas??

I've still got the same issue myself You might want to post about this on the game's forums: https://forums.station.sony.com/dcuo/index.php?threads/new-load-screens-not-um-loading.197180/ or try game's support, maybe you'll have better luck with them.

As far as I remember that applies to the original leveling instances only and there is short loading screen there - giant dcuo logo.

i just decided to ignore the loading screens at all .. since they don't affect the gameplay (although they do affect the experience a bit :/ )

every support ticket you make gets replied by an "auto-reply" that always gives you the same suggestions that don't work .. i guess i'll just give it a little more time .. maybe with the change of ownership this will get better (updated) or at least support might get better :S ...i'll just wait a bit... if i find a work around or something i'll let you guys know.

EDIT: Also that post was started ages ago and apparently SOE didn't care ...so i'm hoping that the new company cares .. :/

Well, it's 7 years later (sorry about the necropost), and this is still an issue.
