Black screen
Hello, it's been several days since I try to play DC Universe but nothing will .... I was several days trying to make it do the updating and lunching close all the time , inch time as I restarted he went further, and I can finally press to play but opening seen only the DC logo to appear and after everything is black and nothing happens . I even tanter erase a lunch pad user in the files , but it has not worked. I also reinstall the game but noting...

Sounds like it's being blocked by your system security in which case you would possibly have not received teh whole DL.Allow DCUO.

go to steam > C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DC Universe Online
and then locate LaunchPad.exe and Rightclick > Properties > Compatibility > privilege level > Run this program as an administrator

This should fix the problem and if this game works on mac sorry if i didn't help if you even have this problem.

Problem: "Unable to download Bad stream" error
Solution: Disable your firewall/anti-virus. (I recommend making exceptions instead of disabling.)


Problem: Cant launch the game after update - game crashing.
Solution: Click the "Advanced tools" option in your launcher and then go to "Validate game assets -> Validate"


Problem: LaunchPad was unable to connect.
Solution: Double click on "RegionalSettings.bat" in the "Steam\steamapps\common\DC Universe Online\" folder.

Google keywords DCUO launcher fixes and you'll get multiple helpful sites including "http://segmentnext.com/2011/01/12/dc-universe-online-errors-crashes-freezes-fixes/" which has some good info.
For those having issues with the update (I.E. the update starts gets a small way through then the entire launcher just disappears).
Open up your task manager and go to processes, have it sort by alphabitical. Now open launchpad, watch the task manager closely. you should see two awesomium processes there. Now quickly end one of the two awesomium processes before the update starts (this may take a couple tries).

Hello Owedevil .

She already tiried everything you mentionned...but unfortunely , nothing worked...
On a different forum , I found something gone wrong with the initial Launchpad User.ini.

So we deleted it ( to make the game create is own ) but the things is...the game create a ''bad'' lauchpad user...

So we have to download it on the DC site but we never found the link for it...

Of course. DC isn't making this game: Daybreak is.

Another reason for the black screen can be a messed up download and grpahicdriver problems. Do Vallidate GAme Assets in the launchpad and get the latest graphicsdriver.

The black screen on Linux or Apple is normal.
tkx for your help . She have already the setting required . she played it 6 month ago...The problem is only happening now because she stopped playing but now she want to play it again.

SO I'll go check withher the Daybreak site !

Anyways I have reinstalled the game directly in the DC game web and my launcher problem is come in back... I waaaaant to play T.T
