It's down to interpretation, munitions is pretty high damage, quantum is alright, elec is ridiculous.

combos? for example if your light and you use chainsaw, then tapping melee button should give you a sort of chain combo with your power, if your rage and you use outrage tapping melee then holding will give you a more damaging combo.
