Returning player and have some questions
So i stopped playing in 2014 after the episode 7, i was wondering some questions because i'm using another account now.

Does still exists styles locked to role, for example in the old days there was styles only for controller, so you needed to have a controller power to get the syles and feats.

i'm ice should i change power now or do i need to get some styles for skill points b4 changing?

How much time daily maintenance takes these days?

I'm premium and i'm not getting all acess, planning to change the power to some good dps still don't know which power yet.

What else do i need to now?

Thanks

I'm not 100% sure about the Styles and Feats. If you're missing pieces, I think there are vendors in the main Hub that sell styles to unlock feats that you're missing in exchange for Source Marks (end game currency). I know that you don't need to wait to get style feats to change powers, if you really want to do that now.

But Ice is a viable DPS power if you "spec" your Stats properly. Go primarily for Super Powered and Critical Chance and Damage build and put everything else to Might. This plays like you're Killer Frost.

So if you're not subscribing to get All Access when you switch powers, then you're locked into choosing Fire, Ice, Gadgets, Mental, Sorcery, and Nature. Just based on that list, Mental and Gadgets are top tier DPS ... unless you want to play a Summoner or have pets do your bidding for you, then Sorcery is the one you want.

Both Mental and Gadgets have one advantage over Sorcery: they both have Stealth ability which not only detaunts and shields you from damage but more importantly adds a hidden 3rd loadout (extra 6 buttons) - somewhat similar to the Ice Elemental supercharge, but Stealth is not a supercharge ability so they're almost always available and do not disable most feats.

In the end, DPS in the game really comes to two things:
  • Level up the RIGHT Artifacts to Rank 200
  • "Git Gud at Clipping" - this "skill" alone adds tens of millions of damage in your dungeon runs regardless of your powers

Whatever you choose, do what you enjoy! It's a video game :steamhappy:

Thanks for the response, il'l look for the styles vendor.
About the power i have the dlc powers unlocked i just don't want to pay for subscription.

I have done a viable ice might dps but want something new, planing to switch to Rage since i was a HL in 2014 i like the combos and stuff, was also thinking about quantum and celestial.

I really don't know anything about artifacts i have random ones at level 79, 20 and 20.
Talking about artifacts do you have any suggestion for a might Rage build?

Awesome!

Transformation Card is a must have for any DPS build. It's all about the Criticals.

The Strategy Card works well with it, but needs to be high rank to maximise its benefits.

Quislet and Grim are popular with DPS. But if you're going Rage (Red Lantern), I think you'll be wanting to build up your Supercharged Berserk ability a lot so perhaps a Soul Cloak is ideal for that build.

Alternatively, consider the new artifact (M.E.R.C.Y.) with Robot Sidekick. Level it to Rank 120 ASAP in order to unlock its Attack Protocol ability. Not only does it make your Robot Sidekick do decent AoE damage, it also gives Power Interaction like Grim and acts as a second Supercharge Charger ability.
