High Textures?
Does a "high" setting for textures exist? Textures look a bit pixilated on Medium.

i am running reshade and have been able to get the game looking really nice. it's not new textures, but it does help with the "wash" the game has. resahde allows adding in bloom, depth of field and shadowing. it makes a major upgrade to the look and feel of the game.

Can you share information on how I would be able to get this for myself? I would appreciate it.

I have downloaded SweetFX and extracted all the files to what I believe to be the executable location in the steam folder, but I don't think it is working. The instructions are extremely vague.

For example, when it says to edit the preset to "point" to the DCUO presets file, is this a new line? Do I replace the text in in one of the two lines? Both? I also read somewhere you need to press End to activate it in-game, but I have no context or experience, so what I'm being told doesn't mean much.

head over and get the latest installer at reshade.me. when you run it, it will ask you to point to the .exe... which would be something like...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DC Universe Online\UNREAL3\BINARIES\WIN32\DCGAME.EXE

select the .EXE above by using browse and then, direct3D 9 as the API version. then, you can select which filters you would like to install. it should take off and do it's install, downloading and getting things installed.

then, once you launch the game in stream, login to the game and are sitting at the character select screen, you should see an overlay message asking you to select the 'home' key to start working with reshade.

once in reshade, you just select the shader you wish you engage by checking the box beside its name. start out simple with something like HDR or a lighting based shader. those will show you it is working and provide some impact to your games look.

also, there is an option to run reshade in performance mode. once you get things like you want, you can select that and it will give you a few extra frames if needed. just unselect it if you need to make more changes to your settings.

i hope that helps you get started!
