Referencing the wiki on the matter.. :
If a group is missing a Tank:
Group members gain 25% Damage Absorption.
The Tank Team Buff is indicated by a Green Shield.
If a group is missing a Healer:
Group members gain a small amount of Health regeneration if Health is under 80%.
Additional Health regeneration will occur while Blocking if Health is below 50%.
The Healer Team Buff is indicated by a Green Heart.
If a group is missing a Controller:
Group members gain 2% Power regeneration per second.
Group members gain 10% Defense.
The Controller Team Buff is indicated by a Green Lightning Bolt.
That's all well and dandy, but ultimately role-less buffs still don't compare to a decently played character with that role in your group. This especially holds true in higher end content where the role-less buff just does not hold up.
