Maybe they're performing a slow breakdown. Trying to either close the game down completely, or break away from 3rd party access. Who knows? All I know is that if they valued their players this would have been fixed by now.

That's absolutely my viewpoint on this whole thing. I usually let this kinda stuff roll off my back, but it sucks as someone who pays each month (and other transactions) and haven't even been able to enjoy the new event going on. I can say with absolution that if any newer content etc was released during this entire time of not being able to log-in... I will be pretty upset at that. I guess all we can do is just hope that they're addressing the issue and not shuffling us off to the side for new store items, etc.

try to reinstall because i can open the game just fine. Also a friend of mine downloaded the game recently and he run it just fine. I hope you can solve the problem guys, good luck

I've already tried that several times over the course of the last few days.

Are you and your friend on PC or console?
