Severe lag after ~hour of playing
Allow me to add more detail to this situation. This game runs smooth for me. I don't experience any frame drops around massive groups or during combat. My issue is that after about an hour or two of playing the game, my entire PC will begin to lag. At first it will be small skips to game play and audio every few seconds and if left alone it will render the game completely stuck forcing me to either scramble to close the game or reset my computer.

If I'm able to close the application my computer will in a sense breathe a sigh of relief and everything will go back to normal. I can't possibly be the only one with this issue and I need to know if there's some way of fixing this. Please read the following notes before offering a tip on my situation...

-This problem happens every time I play the game for longer than an hour

-YES I have tried "turning it off and then on again"

-My drivers are up to date

-My system requirements are above, beyond, and down the street from where they need to be to run this game. I should be able to run 50 DCUO sessions with my hardware

-I have tried a complete file wipe and reinstall of the game

-My internet is not the issue. If internet was to blame, other devices in the house would also malfunction and upon examination, I never get disconnected during these instances.

-During these instances, any process on my PC goes haywire. People can't hear me in Discord, and I struggle to move my cursor from one side of the screen to the other.

This happens to me too but its less than an hour like usual tech support is no help and goes over the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tech support steps instead of admitting there is a problem.. With me its like 20 minutes of perfect play then the mustic starts to skip then the frame rate then it becomes annoying and skipping everything.

Yep, that sounds like you're dealing with the same thing I am. Question, do you turn off Vsync? I turned off Vsync and I had about 20 or 30 minutes of success like you. After reactivating Vsync the problem happens after about an hour or so. Wonder what it all means. Thanks for your comment btw

I don't know if it's fixed for you, but I can confirm nothing has changed on my end

This is dumb. Didn't NVIDIA fix their driver already?

This is usually caused by the game running at more than 63 FPS. DCUO has internal caps and limiters, but the NVIDIA drivers just override those.

If you have this problem on a Radeon, set an FPS limit of 62.

If you have this problem on an NVIDIA card, the driver settings won't help: You will need the NVIDIA Profile Inspector. There you find teh DCUO profile, set a cap and safe. This must be redone after driver updates!

Daybreak games probably reported NVIDIA the issue, but Nvidia obviously doesn't care.

So I looked into this and it costs money. $9.99 USD to be exact in the profile setup. There has to be another way...?

If it didn't work for you the update.. I swtiched my game over from my normal hd to my sdd and it works flawlessly it might need sdd or something a bit more powerful to load.. I think its due to a memory leak but not sure.

Did you uninstall it and then reinstall it on the other drive? Or did you simply move the files? Either way this solution couldn't apply to me since my system only has SSD M.2

Uninstalled and reinstalled

OK so support FINALLY responded to me on the matter. Guess the coffee machine must have broke so they decided to get back to work. Here's the email I received

"I haven't seen any other players reporting similar issues but what I have seen is a lot of players in our other game Planetside 2 have issues with the latest NVIDIA drivers. If you roll back your drivers to the one I link below does it help resolve the issue?"

The drivers he recommended were significantly older but I went ahead and bit the bullet. I am doing a test run now.
