The game won't launch- any advice?

So, just recently (yesterday, to be honest) I tried to starting up the game for the first time for probably months (I've been busy) and alas, the launcher wouldn't even pop up. On Steam it says I'm in game and guess what I'm not. A minute later and my icon is no longer green and it doesn't say I'm in game.

I've followed SEVERAL guides from online and none of them have helped yet. I thought re-installing the game would help but to no surprise I have the same issue.

Yeah so, in detail the game's launcher won't even show and my PC doesn't give me any pop ups saying that there's something wrong. I've re-installed it once already (which took 12+ hours but we won't talk about that).

I don't know what to at this point, I'm lost and I'm totally open to any help. Thanks in advance for your time!

EDIT: Yes, I'm aware that many other people are having the same or similar issues to me and I'm going to submit a Ticket so this issue can hopefully be fixed through an update.

Apparently, alot of people are having a lot of trouble with this game and hopefully Daybreak does something about it all by releasing an update or something ASAP!

I just downloaded it yesterday myself. I ran it, a window came up with links to forums and news, and installed the game for a few hours. Once it finished I got a large green button that said Play, hit it, it says running for about 2-3 seconds and then goes back to Play. Very unimpressed so far.

I found a fix.

It's missing two files: MSVCP110.DLL & MSVCR110.DLL need to be copied into the directory C:/program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/dc universe online/unreal3/binaries/win 32

Once I put a copy of each file in the directory it worked just fine.

Your PC may be missing these .dll files entirely.

Go to www.Microsoft.com and install NET Framework and C++ Runtime library.

Did he need to revive a dead thread? OBVIOUSLY he DID since it still hasn't been fixed ... Help is there? LMFAO! You are either delusional or another of the many Daybreak worthless employees! Since an update around summer 2018 the game has been broken for a great many people. Every conceivable fix has been proposed, from driver downloads to re-installs to file copy/pastes, with ZERO help for most. Customer Support has been NO help as their only response has been to point to the already tried, and failed, "suggested fixes". I, personally, have had every ticket Auto Closed without any resolution. Perhaps if enough people Necro these threads they will see that they have not fixed a damned thing in over half a year ... It is a sad thing when every thread contins the vain hope that Daybreak will "come up with a fix some day." Cancelled my sub and I suggest others do as well so you are not paying for a game you can't even play because ... Hope is NOT on the way and Help is NOT around the corner.

Sorry to bring you the bad news, but Daybreak Games don't read the Steam forums and never have.

I have never heard that a specific update broke the game to the degree that it isn't working, because I and many that I see in the forums play just fine....

At least for me the MSVCP110 and MSVCR110 dlls fixed it
