Ghul matrons. Please spawn

So i'm in the process of 100%ing the steam achievments for this game. I'm missing Hot flashes and The Hunt is My Mistress. I've spent about 8 Hours of my time trying to get a Ghul matron to spawn in Lord of the Hunt. I didn't light one on fire in any of the story missions because at the time I was unaware of the achievment. I've googled and wathced videos for tips on how to get these bastards to spawn. and literally nothing works.

I don't think they spawn once you've finished all the missions on that DLC, you'll have to start it again, unless they fix it. I tried for hours as well, with none showing up.

when you kill an few guals some run off and call the matrons. Don't kill the alarmists!

I've re-started it twice so far, the first time was because of the same problem as you but I like the missions. I also like the animal upgrade, much better for messing around on.

They will spawn even after the dlc is finished.

what you do is....
1. bait a mound. the grunt ghuls come kill a few but let the alarm ones run off.
2. mainly spitter ghuls come this time. same as before kill some but let the alarm ones run off.
3. on the third go round is when the matron will come if she is going to. You can tell her because she is taller and more stout than the rest. If she spawns just charge your combo and shoot her with a fire arrow.

Also note: you can not leave the mound area once you bait it. stay there for all three rounds.

This works just fine in main game, but doesn't work in LotH.
You could stand there, letting alarming ones run off and keep going on for twenties waves without Matron spawning even once.

I had hoped that last update fixed this issue, but I just tried and still no Matron in LotH.
Maybe time for me to consider wiping savedata as well...

For the sake of record, with Bright Lord patch applied the Matrons still don't spawn in LtoH.
I've spent some 30mins of time for maybe 20ish "continuous" waves of ghuls without a single Matron spawn. No. Nada.

Just did the same thing. Matrons are just not spawning in the DLC.
