Tips for Test of the Wild?

Unless I'm missing something obvious it's borderline impossible to kill 10 captains with beasts while maintaining a time limit of 40 minutes. Took me 45ish minutes with only 3 captain-beast kills, all 3 of which weren't technically beast kills they were me finding a captain with ranged weakness and putting arrows in his head from a caragor.

So... any tips from someone that found it easy? Would be hella easy if you could actually keep graugs between missions.
