Game is Way Too Difficult

I find this game extremely difficult for a number of reasons:

1. There's no selectable difficulty-the game went from being too easy early on to being outrageously hard as you progress. Captains that have killed you more than twice become nearly invincible because of all of their counters. Ranged mobs knock off a quarter of your health with each hit, berserkers and shielders are OP as well.

2. Most upgrades are useless, which means you'll be doing the same amount of damage with the same abilities throughout the entirety of the game while the mobs continue to get exponentially tougher.

3. Missions vary in difficulty between being an absolute joke and being absolutely impossible. For example, killing 20 Uruks in 2 minutes doesn't sound too hard, until you realize that the majority of Uruks you face are shielders and beserkers that will block or counter everything you do unless you vault over them and the fights become extremely time consuming.

4. I don't want to collect artifcats to get enough currency to upgrade my pathetic health pool. This is an action game, why should I go around picking flowers or ancient artifacts to boost my power?

5. The nemesis feature seemed cool...until a captain kills you multiple times, then he becomes invicible. Currently, there is captain that has killed me at least 10 times and he now is impossible because he counters every single thing except for explosions. And he one shots me if he hits me; he is also a ranged damage dealer, which means he can one shot me from afar or on my approach. This makes for an extremely unappealing gameplay experience.

If you're not going to fix some of these glaring issues, please add a difficulty selector so I don't feel lile I'm playing on insane mode half way through the game. It's very, very irritating.

Must admit I started playing it a couple days ago.. and, it is so easy. I don't think I have died a single time yet. I can easily take out huge amounts of enemys and captains / warchief. I have only come across one person which is a HUUUUUGEEE challenge and so difficuilt to defeat, he is my rival and can almost 1shot me. IMO Its so much fun having that challenge there as the rest is so easy.

I sure will be trying to convert him to my side whenever I can though.

On my side i like it how it is. Specially with the new challenge mode, they are at least a bit demanding on focus. (Lith will get onehit by almost every Warchief)

I'm very so surprised to read this.

I think you only find it hard because you don't want to go through some parts of the mechanics of the game. Well at least you should try doing some side quest to upgrade your health and skills. And try to use some runes on your weapons because it also adds some damage and other bonuses. The game gets harder as it goes so you also need to upgrade yourself too so you'll not have a hard time beating it.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll figure it out how to beat this game. Or just move on to another game :)

Opened the thread because I was excited to see that the game may be hard.... I only read less than a sentence and then skipped that wall and went to the replies...

I only find it hard when trying to fight 20 orks at once, Since this game has no AOE attacks. Anyone have any tips for fighting alot of enemys at once ?.

I know there is one AOE attack you learn within one of the missions (forgot what its called now, its when you vs a bunch of Ghuls tho.. like a lot of em)

As for Kingj0n, It is fairly easy if you time everything correctly im pretty sure you can turn off the alerts - but like I have said, I have one enemy (my nemesis) who is sooooo hard to defeat. Like, Ive only gotten him to half health once and then he screwed me over.

Other then this, it is pretty simple especially after getting stealth down - and well.. being able to counter correclty Ive been able to survive about 30+ Uruk at once, although it gets hectic. Those 30 + + a Captain or Two, still pretty simple to escape / take out. - BUTT Not a walk in the park you have to put some effort in...

all-in-all its fun, and although not the most challenging from what Ive played - it has its moments and when those moments hit its so worth it and can become quite a challenge, and then ontop of that some of the challenge modes are fun and can be difficuilt (the latest one with the new skin)

The game is super easy once you level up high enough (which isn't high at all) to take out captains. I would have liked for it to be harder, but luckily the game is really fun so it makes up for it.

Interesting enough the people in this thread don't understand the game mechaanics.

IF you take every upgrade and whatnot the game understandably becomes very easy. If you find it too easy DON't upgrade.

This is what the OP does and then it can get difficult.

It's not rocket science it's just customizalbe diffiiculty

I find the difficulty with this game just right, not as hard as Souls games and not as easy as Assassin's Creed games.

Also OP if you find this game to be hard stay away from Lichdom: Battlemage, Lords of the Fallen, and of course Dark Souls 1 and 2.
