Multiple Captains appear at once ?
When I approach the strongholds to kill a captain, I always meet at least one or two more captains appear out of nowhere. Shouldn't each of them control one independent area ? How do I manage to kill anyone if every time I show up they just gang up on me ?

You can take on dozens of orcs at a time if you dodge and block frequently. Just don't attack a single orc more than about 3 times without dodging or blocking, and you can dance around a huge group of enemies without taking damage.

For me, lure to place with many fire place / bomb barrel. if there are no such thing, exploit main target weakness, let him escape due to his fear but keep in your eye range while gather the annoying enemy. after that teleport to your main target. Do this until you get secluded or few orc left and kill him eas.

Seems like strongholds almost always have at least two to four guys who just wander around doing random nonsense in them. If my target isnt someone I cant finish quickly in a stronghold I will look around the place and try to take out the others before I engage my target. One good thing about the strongholds though is there are usually plenty of bee hives, caragar meat, and explosives to help deal with the smaller chumps. I really hate going into strongholds only to wind up fighting two or more guys I have no intel on. Figuring out a weakness is easy enough but with a ton of their followers and them it can become a tall order.

keep your distance on big hords and wait tell you can pick one off .killing two or more warcheifs in same fight is not easy but can be done with knowing when to back off a bit

Use brutalize before open fight, then if you have bow runes for head shot flee kills use it and scare off rest of usual uruks. 3 captains will remain. Have fun.

Strongholds like to keep multiple captains in them. If you're entering one, make use of your Wraith Vision to do a sweep of the area and mark all of the captains first. Then you can decide what to do from there.

If a captain is on a mission (feast, recruitment, duel, etc) he wont be on the map, so if you see 2 missions on a region, there willl be less captains for you to fight. Eventually as you get upgrades even 4 captains wont be bothersome.

Avoid going into strongholds, least 2 captains like to hang around there and call out for backup, you can stun them to interrupt the signal horn tho
That's not uncommon.

Avoid strongholds until you've killed a few captains first and you won't have to worry about so many of them in once place.

And you can always retreat and try again later.

It's hard to complete the storyline when EVERY SINGLE named orc battle is at LEAST 3 orc captains.

I could be wrong, but I think that I remember reading a tool tip in game that said that if you go to a Strong Hold to fight a Warlord, that he summons 4 Captains (approximately) to aid him in battle. Another site said it's supposed to be like fighting 4 bosses at once.

Sorry if my spelling is a bit off, my right hand has become nothing more than a frozen claw due to the extended use of a 360 pad and playing this game for the last 9 hours straight.

I think that I may need to take a break... It's no fun gaming when you've spent all day gaming, so much so that it physically hurt's to type.

Why can't they make Stealth togglable these days? Especially for Stealth orientated games.

Yeah well, i suppose Captains hanging out at the Enemy HQ, where they can receive orders from their Warchief is a bit strange. They really should just exchange cellphone numbers.

A Warchief can have up to 5 bodyguards, indicated by a "line" going from the captain to the warchief. In addition to them its not unusual to have 3-5 Captains hanging out at the Warchiefs domain, after all... thats where stuff is going down.

Because Batman isn't supposed to sneak all the time. He is supposed to strut like a Badmofo around the place. Because he is Batman.

And since they didn't bother to use another engine for this game or make many alterations, so does our undead, wannabe Elf.
