So honestly, it took me about 8 (not including the original 8)? You hafta keep in mind though, I was flying through the first half of the story mode to catch up (I beat that part in like an hour, since I skipped all cutscenes and had already played the missions). And I did very little side content (I was at about 20% world completion when I beat the game)
It may not be very long, but I still have fun taking out captains and warchiefs, and having long scraps with entire strongholds. I plan to start a fresh file and play through again, since it's still fun to me.
Main story alone can probably be rushed in 8ish hours, but if you do that you're doing it wrong. Half the fun in this game is doing side missions, and fooling around with the nemesis system, which while easily understood, the orc captains/warchiefs themselves can be rather unpradictable in where they actually are. I've had 4 captains show up while hunting down one... my god that was a crazy battle.
There's still a lot of stuff I can do with this and I have yet to touch the "trials of war" thing.
If you skip the sandbox and just follow the story missions, 10 hours....tops. I recommend not doing that.
