Random Black screen crash (fix)

Hi lads. Seems WDM is causing somekind of conflict with the games exe from the crashlogs.

Disable Aero (however you want) and the game runs without issue.
Net Stop uxsms
in a batch file on your desktop is a handy thing to have if you need to quickly disable it
Net Start uxsms in another .bat to turn it back on

I think the game disables aero itself but WDM trys to reenable it while the game is running causing the conflict.

Update. Todays gameplay went like this
played for 10mins ish, crash, reloaded crash after about 20.

turned off Aero, played for about 3 hours with no issues, tabbed out and in again numerous times too. BUT, it just black screened again. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoyed now. I thought it was fixed :(

Yeah, that seems to work, i tried these things and it's working at the moment:

To fix this issue you just need to do three things:

Enable V-sync
Enable Triple buffering in Nvidia control panel
Disable Tessalation from game options
Black screen of death will be gone.

I tried adaptive vsync in control panel disable tessalation and it worked for me. 2hours without any issue. Im pretty sure this will or will not work with other systems because we have different custom builds. Hoping they will release patch for this game. On top of that, I still love this game!

Adaptive = 30fps? I cannot play a game at that framerate :)

ok, ill give it a try. I get enraged at the sight of 30fps though (a bit like a stat for a warcheif in game hehe)

well. thought id try reinstalling windows (been meaning to anyway recently)

game is on adaptive in control panel, vsync ON in game and no limit to fps. Still random black screen.

Next up is turning tesselation off

I did it on both.. But i spoke to early, played 4 hours without crash, but when i booted up my pc this morning the crash was back again. :(

I also got this "black screen stuck" issue when alt-tabbing out of the game too often, it's also making chrome windows disapear.

In my case the game gets back in a usable state when i log out of my windows user/go into the lock screen and then log back into windows, that usually fixes the game and allows me to tab back into it.

Looks like ending the games process trough the task manager messes it's savegames up really badly.

in game vsync off, no limit to fps
tesselation is still ON. stable so far,. Loving the revenge missions we get when our friends get killed. ADD ME lads. I want to avange all of you :D
