Level 25 Rune

Hey everyone, I need some help cause I'm getting desparate. I've attained every other acheivements except this one and due to its "luck based" nature I'm not sure if I can even get it. I have invested well over 5 hours into this achievement alone, having killed the entirety of Sauron's army twice over with rank 7 warchiefs now taking positions. I have followed every guide I can find but nothing seems to work as the only thing that ever drops is legendary runes. It is so bad, in fact, in some areas my map is blocked out by epic rune icons from ones I have not picked up. Is there an east way to get this achievement or at least get Sauron's army back to level 20 so I don't have to spend 30min doing time advances? Any advice is appreciated.

Well, the best way is to pick up those epic runes. Apparently, once you have all of them, only normal runes can drop.

Also, you could just time skip until the army is back to scratch. It'll take some time, true, but as long as you don't care which orcs rise to the top, it might work out. Maybe single out some that are promising and only step in when there's a chance they might die.

I decided to take you advice and collect the legendary runes... Well now I have nearly filled my weapon slots with legendaries and will have to start destroying them soon to make room for possibly non-legendaries that may eventually drop.

I have been following these guides to the letter, not using death threats, using up to 4 weaknesses at once, ect. Problem is in over two dozen warcheif kills I have not received a single non-legendary rune. After 5+ hours of playing you could imagine how tedious the game has become for me.

The game has disgustingly low rune drops. Trust me when I say this, you will be doing this for 23 years, and you'll be lucky to even see one. I really hope they fix this. I have gotten all the "Epic" Runes I wanted, but when it comes to the runes that have levels on them, I have only gotten one level 25 and after that, only below 23.

I am going into 10 hours on trying to get this dumb rune. I am so put off by this game now it's not even funny. Before I tried to get this achievement I loved this game and now it's a chore to play. I have killed so many orcs, passed time so many times, it has literally been hell for a stupid achievement to finish this game. They should never, NEVER, make something that is based on luck an achievement. Achievements are done through skill and hard work, not "hoping" stuff will drop.

In case anyone was wondering, this seems to be a bug. All worms will stop spawning and all warchiefs will drop only epic runes if you kill them before The Tower mission. After that drop rates return to normal and worms start appearing again.

I got one as well. What does yours do? Mine is get 50% focus back on a bow kill from stealth.

The maximum rune level is actually 26 :) You get all those epic runes, because of the death threat, they increase the chance to drop epic runes by 40% and warchiefs have nearly a 100% chance to drop them. The best way to get a level 25 rune would be to leave out the death threat, you can still get a level 25 rune even then: level 20+weakness known(1)+fear/hate exploited(1)+warchief(2)+revenge target(1)
