Yes the controls suck!!!
I hear many ppl complaining about the controls of this game. I have to say especialy when riding a beast, that thing goes all over climbs everything its like what the hell, and then when I die and try to save myself the movment of the controll is so slow I cant get it in the circle. Like every game that has come out in the last 3 years. It is a beta/final release with a general patch within 2 months to fix it all. Seems to be how they are all going now.

The pre sell the game with some stupid item to generate money, then release an unfinished game to generate more money, and then patch it after they meet their quota. Then most games add must have DRM and release games that were better in their passed lives, like almost every EA game in the last 5 years. and they call it a day. PC gaming is going down the tubes, at least Rockstar is making GTA5 for pc next year.

i have to say escpecially riding a beast makes this game super, duper easy :D
try with kb+m if you have troubles aiming with the controller (and yes you dont carry the bow just around) .. Focus up like Max Payne :D

Game works fine for me, bor with controlling the caragor. The giant is a bit harder, but then i think it's surposed to be given it's size and bulk. But even that isn't THAT hard to controll.

As for the last chance, i've NEVER had an issue with it, which surprised me since i suck at those types of QTE. But i've found it quite forgiving

I have no problem with the controls.

OK juming into or onto things accidentally, trying to run past a door but instead runing up the wall, if you are in a close area and the only way out is through an opening in the ground and then through a broken cage, maybe you can get down there but you cant move fast or you will climb back upm, and if you move slow you get shot. IDK ac4 had better movement I guess they didnt want to keymap the same controls as ac4 because a lot of people are saying its like ac4. But I like those controls better. and playing a 3rd person game with mouse and keyboard is possable, but its much easier with the controler for me. Unless its a game like guild wars 2 there are just too many hot keys to map in this game.

I switched the CTRL and L-SHIFT keys, and in seventeen hours my guy has done something I didn't mean to like... four times, and it's all due to just how the camera in a game like this handles. Just finished a ten minute mosh with the endless hordes of a fortress alarm and all I have to say is that you don't get 100+ hit combos in the middle of a crowd with unresponsive/bad controls.

Depending on how FarCry 4 turns out, this could be my GOTY.

Edit: The SPACE and L-SHIFT keys were switched.

The most annoying thing for me is that the controller, which otherwise works great, gives you about a millisecond to press the x+y buttons or nothing happens. The F key on the keyboard is much, much easier.

I'm sorry your having trouble with the controls. Just keep practicing.
But...Nothing needs updating really, your simply in the minority.
Majority finds that they are fluid.
Anyway good luck.

The beasts do control a little more sluggish than our hero, but then, they are beasts. And use a PC Xbox or Logitech controller....problems solved. With a mouse and Keyboard its really no different than Batman or the AC series. Overall, considering the animation, its pretty damn fluid. If you think its bad, sorry, but its YOU.

I have no issue with the controls at all, i mean yeah sure, there are some parts where it gets a bit wishy washy, but it suffers the same problem that ass AC games have, which is when you are climbing.

Mounted controls can be a bit wonky, but then again how mnay games can do mount combat well?

I'm like an hour an hour in but I've had no issues with controls, using KB+M. Razer Anansi and Razer Naga 2014

The only thing I hate is when I run into a wall that I can't climb and I just stop and seem to get stuck for a second or two.

Day one, I jumped in and the controls were quite intuitive and easily grasped. Yes, I have a history with Assassin's Creed and Batman so maybe I had a slight advantage there, but it will just take some practice. Keep at it!
as a playter that used KB/M his entire life up until a month ago, i'm rooting for the controllers on this one, the controls are beyond ♥♥♥♥♥ for KB/M imho...
the controller felt weird, but the KB/M felt even worse...

even worse than the old days... (hitman codename47 era)

kb+m was fine for me during all my hours.
