Error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00007b)" Fix
If you have the error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00007b)" when trying to open the .exe. A simple fix for me was to download new .dll files for that problem.
Just put them in C:\Windows\System32 and it will hopefully fix your problem.

Instead of downloading random .dll files, you might do better to install the Visual C++ redistributable package 2010 for Windows, which contains the correct files. You can find this in the \_CommonRedist directory for the game, if steam did not correctly install the files for you.

0xc000007b error comes mainly from mixing up 32bit environment with 64bit one, that is you have an 32bit application that tries to load a 64bit dll. THe above poster is correct. Most likely installing the redistributable package will fix this..You do not have the 32 bit C+ package installed most likely..

I would never install some random dll files posted from some random poster. Especially a file named dlls.zip.

those are files from the C+ redistributable...just download it from Microsoft, then your risk is zero. files with those names are a prime target for viruses since almost everybody has them on their computer. It would truly suck if the next time you tried to run the game a virus embedded in the dll was launched.

Well that most likely is the 2013 redistributable..Not going to work if this game was built to use the 2010 package...with Visual Studio 2010.
