FIX YOUR DAMN GAME. I paid 70 bucks for this, I'm not acting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ intitled here, If you bought any other product than a game that just flat out DIDNT WORK. You'd say "this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but ofcourse i'll get a refund" on steam its like this "oh well, I've been ♥♥♥♥♥♥ but i've been bending over for steam for last 10 years so... ♥♥♥♥ it" i meet the minimum specs and everything recommended except for 8 gigs of ram, I've tried literally every fix out, scoured the forums and tried stuff myself. And it just doesnt work...

Yea you dont need steam to bend ya over you do just fine yourself.
You shouldn't even recieve a refund under the mo ron clause in the contract :)

This game is awesome! Especially when as I was looking at the minimum and recommended specs I knew that my computer could comfortably run it. Guess what? IT CAN!

If you had the ability to check the specs and knowingly still bought the game then you don't deserve a refund, and you really shouldn't freak out on a public forum.

Can you post your machine specs and what is actually happening when you try to play before going mad? 31,286 players in game right now says the game seems to work fine for a large group of people...

Dude i just said it meets everything in minimum and recommended excepting ram, which i have 6 gigs of. :/

Basically it's either "preparing to launch middle earth: Shadow of mordor..." or "App is already running" I haven't experianced a black screen or any error message. My specs are, Windows 7 home premium 64bit / Intel core i7-3610qm cpu @ 2.30ghz (8 cpus), ~2.3ghz 6144mb ram, 6856mb used page file, 5370mb available, display is AMD radeon HD 7970M and thats about it... i think

yeah, the olll abandoned mx17, I've heard this game has a few problems with laptops...

There's a solution somewhere, but someone else will need to be more specific because I can't remember (something about deleting a folder). I saw someone get this running on a worse laptop than yours. Good luck.

Also, make sure to update your video drivers to latest.

Running nice and smooth (medium settings with low texture) on an 2-year-old Sager here, 2.3ghz i7, with 16gb ram and a geforce 670m 1.5gb.
i've always heard that running anything with an odd number of memory sticks could cause some trouble.

If you're this fed up, just reinstall your OS and start fresh. There are quite of few that has no problem with this game so it has to be your PC.

Dude, you don't even say what is wrong with the game? I came on here looking for game reviews and I see this thread about fixing the game and all you do is ♥♥♥♥♥ that is doesn't work.

What the ♥♥♥♥ does "doesn't work" mean? I'm racking my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brain trying to figure out what on earth you're trying to communicate?

If you're experiencing a problem you want fixed, the least you could do is actually identify what that problem is. "It doesn't work" communicates so little that the sheer fact that you made a post.... ok... ok... I am removing myself from this situation for the sake of my sanity.
