Game Save Deleted.

Same thing just happened to me. Lost a solid 7 hours of gameplay, as far as I can tell.

Mine was after just changing a graphics option and restarting the game - no crashes at all :(

This is some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, just happened to me as well. I was really looking forward to getting back home and exploring the next zone but now i have to go and get every collectible again

It doesn't delete, it simply stops saving progress. I didn't change any settings nor crash, was playing the game without issue, closed it down proper, only to find it had not saved any progress from that game session. A lot of people have reported this. Lost 10 hours myself, stopped playing it until they sort it out.

Mine is gone completely. I had a save game that i had been playing on and then i did like the guy at the top and now i just have a blank space and the option to start anew

This wasn't the case for me, it started afresh after safely exiting and restarting the game. I mean it did the intro, gamma test etc. Really dissapointing because this was looking like a smooth launch for a AAA, which after sim city, sims, bf4, watch dogs, destiny etc... it was refreshing for the short time it lasted!

The difference here is that the only problem is a few bugs which, while inconvenient, will eventually get patched. Sim city was a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for a whole other host of reasons

Really puts me off about playing this game, I don't want to replay the 8 hours I already put into it.

Bump this on a hourly basis, so the DEVs get some attention on it. There are WB represantatives around.

Hey fellow ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ save-bug sufferers! Just wanted to state me too, this ♥♥♥♥ sucks and I fully sympathize with all of y'all. But I did not lose the whole save file though (not sure if that was the case for everyone who had this) but still some good 4 hours of gameplay progress. Pisses off......♥♥♥♥ it. Does this mean to keep happening now or....?

It's wierd cause it saved just fine yesterday, even though I had to unofficially quit 2 times (task manager & closing app. from desktop) and all the progress was still there. So I REALLY wasn't thinking it's another save bug, which are the DAMN worst BS!!!


So I just wanted to ask if there is any way to restore the save at all? Anyone manage to bring the progress back??? And also joining the ranks of the save-bug reporters (Hello, Devs! ;( Pls help us quick!).

Because as obviously seen on the boards, this damned Bug sticks like a sticky piece of sh1t on the boots of what is an impressively great game!

If you backed up your hdd before the save was lost, you will be able to recover it.

Meh, thx for quick response and good tip. But don't think I had a backup going on anytime recently or during gameplay or whatever...

I just said that only because this does raise a question, when does the save progress get lost at anyway? As I think I was seeing the save icon down there through the whole of last session WTF so must've been saved at one point... I mean like, this is quite irritating and makes a player pretty freaking worried right? Is what I'm doing now even gonna get saved, or do I get flushed here again at random wtf?!

Well next time I'm def checking twice to know if/how this is happening!

Whatever the freaking case, what would be the best procedure to take to make sure save is recoverable or at least fairly safe? Oh and also, where the hell are the saves for MM: SoM even located at? (the usual mystery).
