it autosaves everytime you make progress. kill an orc, eating the flowers, and so on. no need to worry about saving. (but it would be nice to be able to make your own save files)

im also pretty sure it autosaves when you exit the game as well

i feel like if they allow you to make your own save files it would kinda defeat the purpose of the nemesis system. since everytime you would die, people would just load it back up therefore no orc gets promoted. it relies heavily on you dying and being resurrected as the world continues moving forward

Resurrecting this thread to ask the same question. If it saves when you leave game, then why the grim warning about progress not being saved?

One of the guides shows how to make backup saves, in case ME:SOM loses it. Can that feature be used to gimp the Nemesis system?

I don't consider myself a quick study on these types of games. I died once learning how to shoot arrows; and restarted the game from the beginning. Then dropped down to fight a Uruk in the slave camp, and was immediately dispatched by a group of three captains (and entourage). At this rate, I am sure to be hopelessly behind the power curve before my fingers figure out how to do what my brain says they should be doing. Would be nice to have an occasional save to go back to when I really screw up.

Thanks for the help.

Free Roaming saves VERY often. If you die during a mission you better count on replaying it.

Thank you, Pastmaster, for answer here and in my other thread. I opened up my second tower, and figured that the game would probably think that was a good spot to save, so quit there.
