Controller doesn't work

I have a logitech controller and I'm using X360CE but the controller doesn't work in game. And I haven't ran into a game which it didn't work.

I had a problem with my 360 controller, it wasn't working when I first booted up the game. When I hit a button the prompts would change meaning it recognized the controller but it would do nothing else. It fixed when I changed USB ports. I am also not the only person that happened to.

How can anybody play this type of games 3rd person / first person with controller joystick camera movement sucks balls compared to mouse

and the keys are just mushy and unresponsive akward and just horrible overall experiance
compared to the keybinding options u have with keyboard
and its just ten time more responsive if you have mechanical keyboard


Keyboard and mouse are superior in every possible way

I actually ran off to the store to get a controller, because i think its better suited for this game, which is similar to fps perspective (your camera is glued to the back of head). All commands fit on the controller keypad very nicely and such. BUT ITS NOT WORKING

I have a 360 controller. When i played last night it worked like a charm. This morning it registers (button prompts appear on titlescreen) but wont work. Still works fine on other games. Different usb-ports does nothing. Really strange.

sorry it's not working dudes. I haven't come across this issue yet using a wired 360 controller.

Finally got a response from WB Games- here it is. Without a wired XBox 360 controller- sounds like you're out of luck for now

At this time the only controller currently compatible with Shadow of Mordor on PC is the official Microsoft Xbox 360 wired controller.

He is not trolling he is correct. KB+M are far better input devices than the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ controllers they try to sell us, got to razer or logitech and buy a decent KB+M and stop trying to be a console peasant.

I gave up on console gaming years ago in favor of PC gaming, but I still find that with certain games I am actually significantly better with the controller over the keyboard and mouse. What people love to forget is there is no "right" or "wrong" answer here it's just preference. In so far as your logitech controller not working that is a shame and and unfortunate oversight from the developers.

Thanks for this info. Very disappointing that only Wired 360 controller will work.

Keyboard+mouse overriding my Logitech controlle still, every time i try to play the game with my confroller it keeps going back to the mouse and keyboard even though both are not moving. i even tried to unplug the mouse and keyboard and still nothing....what the ♥♥♥♥
