I have searched the internet for updates for directx and is standing on the latest.
The problem also appears for the first time, other games run normally

it needs GPUs with DX11 like nVidia GTX 400 series or up and AMD HD 5000 and up..
Also W7 SP1 or W8.1 is recommended

I think, AMD-Cards support DirectX11 from 5000 series. Your card has no DirectX11, too old.

if directx 11 is required to run the game, then i'm sorry, but you will be unable to run it, you should have read the minimum specs, which says HD 5850 (minimum).

long story short useful, my graphics card is based on DirectX10 and like some have the same problem is the graphics card as well. there remains only one write to support and wait until an update comes out or improve computer

most of your games uses directx 9, and thief for example uses directx 10 which was already supported by older graphic cards such as the HD4800 from our friend here (Saga-City), while thief can run on directx 11, your card probably was capable of running it because it also can run using directx 10, and having directx 11 installed in your computer doesn't mean your card can run it, because it's need to be supported by your card. And in this case Shadow of Mordor requires a graphic card which is compatible with directx 11 as a minimum.

Found a FIX!!!!
I was having the same problem, but I realized that the auto select feature of nvidia graphics cards selected the integrated graphics processor over my graphics card. To fix this, go to your NVidia control panel and select the correct graphics card. Works great now.

I have set the gt540m such primary card but the game doesn't work.
