Game not Starting

I played this game a few years back and recently redownloaded it as I felt some nostalgia and wanted to replay it. However when I hit play it synchronizes with steam, the little spinning circle appears next to my mouse icon, and steam SAYS it is running but the actual game never pops up.

I am not overly tech savvy but have done my best to follow the common fixes I have read. I updated my graphics card, made sure my computer was within specs, verified game file integrity, and even uninstalled and reinstalled it (which is a pain when you are stuck with satellite).

The weird thing is that Shadow of War runs just fine.... Anyone willing to help out?

Dang. A lot of people seem to have this problem. I am one of them. Still no fix too. This isn't good, I just got the game.

I forgot to mention that I also had the issue mentioned in the above link, and deleting the mentioned "LightFX.dll" file was also required to get the game to launch.

Your WB folder might have corupt file. simply delete them and try to launch.

Documents\Wb Games\Shadow of Mordor\(Delete everything and relaunch)

Different ways to start a game on Steam.
Many times, gamers have issues because Steam has to FIRST install Required files to the game before other methods of starting the game will work correctly.
1. Thus, start the game through Steam and not through game trainers or other ways.
Open steam go into your library click on game and to the right click on green button that says play.
2. *You may have to verify files due to corruption as well.
These 2 procedures usually solve most problems.
