I forgot to mention that I also had the issue mentioned in the above link, and deleting the mentioned "LightFX.dll" file was also required to get the game to launch.
Documents\Wb Games\Shadow of Mordor\(Delete everything and relaunch)
Many times, gamers have issues because Steam has to FIRST install Required files to the game before other methods of starting the game will work correctly.
1. Thus, start the game through Steam and not through game trainers or other ways.
Open steam go into your library click on game and to the right click on green button that says play.
2. *You may have to verify files due to corruption as well.
These 2 procedures usually solve most problems.
