XBox Controller Problem
Using a wired controller, and it's worked perfectly for every other game I've tried it with.
It works for Shadow of Mordor as well, however, it disconnects constantly. Sometimes it reconnects, but sometimes I have to unplug it and plug it back in.
It does this maybe every 5-10 minutes or so. Gets really annoying.
Anyone had a similar problem, or have a fix?

Maybe your USB port has some dog hair in it. Mine gets like that sometimes.

Nah, I've tried three different USB ports, same problem every time. And when I use the same XBox controller, in the same port, for a different game, it works completely fine. Only with this game is there a problem.

I figured out the problem, but don't know how to fix it.
For some reason (in this game only), the controller keeps forgetting what player it is. It will "disconnect" because it thinks it's player 2 or 3 or 4. No idea why it's doing this, but it only happens with this game, and no other.
I'm kind of new to XBox controllers for the PC, so is there any way to like, lock it or something, so that it's always player 1?

A few things you might try. 1. If you haven't installed the X-Box drivers. do so it might help. (If not, download them from MS, unplug your X-Box controller, install the drivers, then plug it back in. It should be picked up by the system if all is well.) 2. If your connected to a hub, try connecting directly your PC's USB port not thru a hub. 3. If you have any other joysticks ot game pads plugged into your USB ports, try unplugging them and then see. (Had an old joystick plugged in thru an adapter and gave my X-Box fits until I unplugged it.) I have a X-Box 360 wired controller and if you set it up right, you can connect more than one controller to a single PC, but i haven't played with this. On mine, the upper left light is always on which means it's the only one, at present on my system. If I had more that one plugged in them it should show by the light which one it is. I only use one controller at a time and this usually works out best for me.

1. I've checked the Microsoft site for my wired controller, and it tells me I'm fine, and don't need to change anything.
2. Not connected to a hub.
3. Never used any other joysticks or controllers except this one.

Just a note, this only happens with this game in particular. I can play Skyrim or Darksiders or whatever for hours without a problem.

Also, my controller is wired, if that makes a difference.

Last night it was disconnecting about every 30 seconds, which made it almost entirely unplayable... Considering this is based off the Arkham Origins game WB made, and that game had tons of bugs they never bothered fixing, I'm going to guess that this is a problem with the game itself, and they just won't ever bother fixing it sadly.
