You played for 6 hours, selected quit game in the menu, quit to desktop, and you lost 6 hours progress? Doesnt sound right at all.
I selected my outfit, selected play, quit and then came back tonight and no progress.
Save is working now I think but still, this leaves a bad taste in my mouth which is sad cause despite combat being a bit difficult and not being as hacky slashy as i normally like (but not a hack and slash game so that's fine) I really like this game.
I cannot share that opinion.
However, I beated Arkham Asylum on highest difficulty setting so probably I'm just good trained ^^
Also combat becomes significantly easier as time goes on- I found an epic rune for my sword that increased strength on EVERY SINGLE sword strike by 50 percent. Needless to say it felt OP as hell.
Also, stun (b button on controller) into flurry seemed like one of the best ways to charge execution strikes (glowing sword) earlier on.
Use the environment and keep an eye out for explosive barrels, fires will explode when shot too, (makes no logical sense lol?) bee nests, caragor cages, and loose pieces of walls to shoot out.
I guess i just need to level up and get more skills. do wish i didnt have to beat generic orcs like ten time with my sword before they die. as often as im in big grounds you would think they would go down easier. :S
>fighting 5 orcs<
- stun orc A
-proceed with flurry
-Orc B attacks from behind
- press Y to counter
-move analog stick back toward orc A and continue flurry combo with X
-repeat if neccessary.
Any attack can be cancelled into a counter.
I've always had an issue with button time where a button has more then one function and because i guess i dont give it a moment it does one thing when I want to do another. x.x
bleh minor complaints from someone who sucks at gaming.
But I just need to play and get better and kill orcs and find some good captains to promote.
Also, your normal attacks don't really do that much damage. Think of it more as a tool to build up a hit streak. It'll take you forever to just normal attack an orc to death; you're really trying to stun them, knock them down, or build up enough juice for an execution or wraith stun or something like that.
Finally, re: saving. It definitely autosaves when you go to a forge tower. When I'm done playing I fast-travel to one of those before I quit, and I never lose any progress. It autosaves elsewhere as well, but I know that always works.
i never found an interest in assassin's creed, got bored of batman (partially cause i have so much else to play and im not a sneaky kind of guy) and batman origins was too glitchy. keyboard functions didnt always work and crocc dissapeared with trhe controller plugged it.
I totally get what you're saying about the combat, it just feel half the time i hit Y whenever it pops up that it does nothing.
Or I hit b to drop down and it just punches the air. I tell him to go to the left but because the camera is slightly off her wall shimmies to the right.
I hate how I love this game but it has me cussing a lot over the little ♥♥♥♥ like the controls being to sensitive and me not being patient and then my controller is stuck in my wall.
lol maybe not that last part but still.
Great game just requires patience, whatever that is.
Just hope I get some good commanders. The mute I had on my first playthrough was so creepy i thought he was going to molest me!!!!
