You'll see them complaining how new games are being ruined and gush about the "good old days" where things weren't "woke", while celebrating larger game publishers (who 100% call the shots on what and what not gets developed and funded under their umbrella) axing the very developers that made those old days so good. It's next level stupid.
Here are some of their titles over the years:
Blood
Rage of Mages
Get Medieval
Shogo Mobile Armor Division
Blood II
Septera Core
No One Lives Forever 1+2
Alien vs Predator 2
Tron 2
Matrix Online
F.E.A.R. Series
Condemned Series
... and the recent ones, everyone knows about.
This is yet another example of how non-gaming predators in suits and armed with spreadsheets entered the 'video game business' without a clue. AT&T bought Time Warner and from then on, everything went south.

it was going to be a DEI fest indeed
And a whole studio that's nearly three decades old losing their jobs...that's a tragedy, no matter if you "didn't like their game". You wouldn't be a fan of theirs anyway; so many complained about SoW and its contents... Yet you expected anything different now? Wild.
