Can't find New Game option.
Hi, I've been playing other games for a pretty long time and just returned to ME: Shadow of Mordor tonight and find I've forgotten most of what I learned during the original intro. So I wanted to start a new, fresh game, but I can't seem to find any way to do that.

So I guess my question is: How do I start a new game?

Thanks in advance.

There is no new game option. In order to start fresh, you have to delete your old save game. Only then will the game take you to the beginning again.

Weren't there supposed to be two save slots, the second of which you had to access via the Save Slots menu option?

Thedre are two save slots, and one has been used, but not by me. I have never made a save. I can try deleting the one slot that has been used. Thanks for the tip.
.........

Alright, I went back and opened the page with the two save slots and found there's a delete option. You just click on the slot you want deleted, then hit "Delete" and the save is deleted.

I don't know why only one slot had been used, you can't save manually from what I can see and you also can't have two games, so I have no idea what the extra save slot is for. Could be that it's something that was originally planned to give the player a manual save option, or the option to start a new game while still keeping the old one, but that's just guessing on my part.

Anyway...
.........

Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it.

Definitely a game for replaying.

That's my impression as well. Even if you don't have difficulties during the first play-through, it seems like the kind of game that can be played many times if you want, because there are so many ways to go through the story line, both in terms of the choices you make for yourself, skill wise and mission wise, but also in terms of the games hidden trigger mechanisms which have many, many possible choices of which Uruks get to live and die or progress and rise in power and position within the Uruk military system.
