War - Not played
Mordor is very small, lots of sandbox fighting, nemesis system is awesome, collectibles (some a grind.)
I don't like the restrictive main quest missions, usually end up being annoying and you fail due to some nonsense.
War - keen to play whenever I get around to finishing Mordor, it's just been a slog past the super fun random fights
Mordor is more focused, it's Middle Earth Assassin simulator. Lacks content in other fields, sure, but as an Orc-hunting game it's brilliant.
War is everything else, and it's more like your generic fantasy action RPG. Much of new content, but Nemesis (C)(R)(TM) System is kind of second-placed comparing to the first game.
Also, change in atmosphere. In Mordor you feel the desperation, you see this infinite sea of orcs in the Captains screen and understand that you're all alone and fighting unwinnable battle. No such feeling in War.
"What is WAR?" Full name, so I can actually look it up.
But you had to go and be like this. Very sad, I feel bad for you.
War has some complexity with sieges and such especially on the hardest difficulty (which is where it shines the most imo if you CAN play at that difficulty), its got far more specialised gear to change how you play.
They're both fun as ♥♥♥♥ though so you can't go wrong with either ESPECIALLY if they're on sale.
