I believe I have devised the best rune setup. I'd love to see other setups and why they work for you.

Not really happy with The Black Arrow Rune but I find the bow is limited in decent runes compared to the other weapons.

Worth noting, that although only level 23 and 22, my 2 Favor of the Lady runes stack to give me 65% health on Drain or Brand whether in combat or not.

Rune setups are more playstyle dependant so no such thing as who has what better setup. I switch mine in and out depending what i feel I need for certain situation. With that said I'll show you my universal setup works for pretty much all situations runes on sword compliment runes on dagger work very well with one another. I have just about every rune in the game I'm still missing a few but not many still would like lvl 30 runes on some of the 15 lvl+ runes. Also i have beat game i have all skills and perks so some runes are now obsolete. I also like battles to prolong why you dont see increase in damage on my weapons other than bow. A head explosion kill is counted as a flurry kill so pretty much 100% health for long as I want. I can fight for long time I intentionally try to if I run it's cause I'm bored of kicking azz. Usually all the uruks run from me after awhile even in strongholds my biggest peeve in this game is I find it to easy. With this setup i can do shadow strike kills back to back. Use all my elf shot then start spamming my execution kills (the skill u have is best) when that skill on recharge just spam combat brands to get elf shot back to max.As bonus have couple of orc allies to tank hits for me as another bonus I get health back for the drains.Literally i can stay in large scale battles for as long as i wish or until all the uruks run away which happens alot unfortunetly because of that terror mechanic.

My setup were focused on causing Fear/Terror, so that I could fight large groups of enemies by making them inefficient/cowering in combat, which worked very well before I took a long break from the game.
But now that I started to play the game again (after almost a year) it seems like this setup have gotten nerfed :/

As the others said, there aren't any "best" rune setup, there are just a rune setup which complements your play-style.

it may but still a waste of a slot (in my opinion) games easy enough without a stack like that but i mean if you feel you need it use it.

here yaz go my new setup been rune farming again about perfect where i want things to be still need find a better rune for my dagger as I dont use throwing daggers just akward in placment on keyboard and i forget i even have them so that rune slot entirly wasted at moment but i have nothing i can make use of for that slot yet so its a better rune of the rest. The rest for stealth killing I'm only subtle when i'm picking off a capts lap dogs by then already got full health elf shot etc who goes into battle half ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in end game? nooby sure but end gamers know better lol

That life for death rune is sweet at end game cause got natural skill for the execution refill health pretty quickly when needed and surronded by them damned shield orcs. ( i could just combat drain all of time cause of my favor of lady but i like variety lol)

I have another rune i really like really fits what im after still debating if i wanna replace my 20% to burn rune its useful rune when you fight capts and warchiefs with fear of burning but at same time sucks when they hate fire lol

Most rune I'm really after is the defense agaisnt ranged attacks I've only seen it twice in 140hrs of gameplay for me been the rarest rune in the game even over epics it's a white rune never seen it above level 8 every level adds 1% so 30% defence at level 30 (max rune level) that be pretty useful as I've encountered crossbow capts kill you in one hit.

Just found the 1 elf shot on shadow strike kills i was like hell yea i use shadow strike kills alot when i get into stronghold battles literally wipe the entire stronghold out in about 3 mins warping all over the place beheading those grimy orcs that there will save alot of trouble having to stop and do a combat drain doing so is risky cause of spear chuckers killing the combo streak. i'll still have to stop but just not as often. So now instead of 2 elf shot a kill max of 7 kills I'll beable get 13 kills and a arrow left for a headshot in before I will have to do a combat drain pretty slick.

Also been grinding for the actual runes to replace the dlc versions because it looks nice atleast i earned them legitably I only need dagger poison immunity i found it naturally way back when i first bought game but at time i wasnt worried about finding it lol so i salvaged it owell i just have find it again
So I can't say I'm beating anyones setup cause no such thing we all play diffrently but i can say i beat my last one i posted lol

was organizing rune setups theres obviously a glitch going on i tested the +1 elf shot returned on shadow strike at first it was working as intended but after moving that rune round in order im gaining 3 elf shot in return have no idea what caused it as a test i release all elf shot except for 2 cause take 2 elf shot to execute a shadow strike once the kill is done normally i'd had no elf shot left with rune id have 1 shot returned but it is returning 2 extra after kill i have 3 total lol now when i shadow strike i literally never run out as long as its the lethal shadow strike
