ONLINE ACHIEVEMENTS

I see some ppl saying that "lord of the ring" and "the hunt is my mistress" achievements will not be obtainable after the server shutdown on Dec31, but I don't see how these achievements are online-bound.... someone can explain me a bit please?

You don't need online connection to get them... or any other achievement, and that includes the vendetta one.

nice....well, the vendetta one, needs a guy that is playing to get killed, so ou can avenge it, I think yes, it needs online in some way

I know is a different thing, but, I've returned to the game to beat the game again and unlock the achievements that I don't have unlocked until now, but, I can't unlock any achievement.

Can you tell me guys if is there any kind of problem with achievements currently???

You don't need online connection or a friend playing the game.
You usually find vendetta missions in that area where you find Ratbag for the first time. If you haven't find any, keep advancing time and returning to that area. If not there, you can find them somewhere else.

Well, I don't know if it's my case or not, I don't have test if without the DLCs installed the game unlocks the "stinking rebels" achievment or not, because a part of the final related story achievments, this one is the last that I want (from base game).

Well, definetly is not my case, because I've unlocked right now the achievement "The Tower Crumbles", but I've tried again (for 15th time) to unlock sticking rebels achievement with not success, it's not a "story's achivements" problem like yours.

Can I make something to unlock this achievement, because I've tried everything but this is unlock until now. Thanks guys.

P.S.: Right now, I've finished the base game (main campaign) and the final achievement is unlocked, but the "stinking rebels" is locked currently. Do you know guys if I could unlocked it at another campaign (DLCs campaigns)?

I can assure the "Stinking Rebels" works with all DLCs installed. Got mine yesterday.

The thing is - when you navigate on the bodyguards, the info doesn't say they are bodyguards. Instead, it says elite or legendary captain.
The only time you can spot they were promoted to bodyguard - after a successful power struggle (can be either recruitment, hunt, ordeal or execution). (highlight the top line: http://linkme.ufanet.ru/images/1adb091a669a84ff2b860dae839c8b23.jpg )

I was backing up my saves, and can share the one when all 5 bodyguards are ready and you just need to initiate the encounter with a warchief ( http://linkme.ufanet.ru/images/78bd9ba68118416c27a2d5bfd7a47dae.jpg )

The achievement pops up the moment you command the branded orks, you dont need to kill the warchief.

Hi and thanks for the offer, I 've gotten that message when I've promoted a captain "X" to a X's bodyguard, btw I can't unlock the achievement. My question about the DLCs is not about if I can unlock with the DLCs installed, I asked if I can unlock it at any DLC, like hunt... (my game is in spanish and I don't know the english name).

Other thing that I am thinking, is that the achievement is only unlocked when the warchiefs are golden, the first that appear, bcause all videos that I've seen, they are golden.

One more problem hehehe, I'm trying right now the achievement, but one of the golden warchiefs only has four bodyguards. I can't command one captain to that warchief to have 5 bodyguard and be able to unlock the achievement.

How did you do it?

Brand an ork, dominate him and start his initiation for the warchief, then complete few battle struggles or alike challenges until he is promoted to a bodyguard.

I know which is te process to "command an ork", the problem is:

1. I can mark an ork.
2. I can dominate that marked ork.
3. I CAN'T start the initiation for the warchief.

At the third step, the result is the same (can't start the initiation) if:

3.1 I dominate the ork and at the same time I chose "COMMAND", I can't select any warcfhief, I can only select another captain to kill him.

or

3.2 One time I've dominated the ork, I search it at the Sauron's army, marked as objective, find him at the field and take him, I can chose "command" but I can't chose the warchief to start initation.

The 5 warchiefs are alive (original or golden warchiefs), one of them hidden, maybe do I have to continue the DLC story killing 1 or 2 warciefs to be able to make my ork a warchief's bodyguard??

Finally unlocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've loaded the finished main campaign ad assigned one more bodyguard to the warchief, making a total of 1 warchief and 6 bodyguards, all of them dominated and with death trap.

D-pad UP and the achievement is unlocked right now, if you know guys how many "tips" I've read around the Internet and hours spent trying to unlock this achievement, uffffffff, the only thing that I needed it was add ine more bodyguard.

Answer you (finally, sorry for the off-topic at your thread), the only online features that you need to unlock that achievement is that you've to be online on steam, because if you're not online, you can't receive the missions about revenge the death of other players, it's the same if they are your friends or not.

I can confirm this because these days I'm playing this fantastic game and I've received various revenge missions on the game map (main campaign).

I received over 10 spontaneous vendetta missions, and all for my friend.
Didn't see a single one for an unknown player.
