i was having this issue with 980. i fixed it by turning off vsync in game and forcing it in nvidia control panel. no more screen tears.

I just fixed this as well as some strange audio issues yesterday. Still enjoying this game after 2 years.

Also make sure your monitor is able to keep up with your new gpu. I recommend that you look for a 144Hz monitor in order to play with no V-Sync if you have a powerful GPU. That way you won't have screan tear AND you won't have the unfortunate input lag that comes with activating V-Sync.

I have a single AMD Fury X with three HP Omen 32 at 1440P that support free sync. I play in Eyefinity with all three screens. I get 50-60FPS on High settings at 7680x1440. There isn't a screen tear to be seen unless my FPS drops into the 30FPS range. You guys need to look up gysync and freesync. Both are fantastic techs! I had that same problem with my last monitor that wasn't freesync enabled --- a Dell 3014. Now that I have a freesync monitor and a freesync card - frame tearing is no more! Not only that but it smooths out the frame rate --- gets rid of jerky motion. It's excellent. The Fury X is a STELLAR card -- it can be had for just over $300 these days.

Wow that is pretty impressive performance on such a high resolution. I currently have a 980, ive got a second one but sli support is so bad these days i took it out and most my games perform better with one card.lol so i will be looking to sell the 980s and get a better single card solution.
How much did you pay for the furyX?
Thanks for the advice re G/Free sync but i use two projectors @3840x1080 and tbh i could never go back to tiny monitors.lol

DeathWing so you know gsync monitor super expensive andtezboz projectors ? guess you got foggy image unless you got the 5000$ gaming projectors

I have 2 optoma HD 141x's and the picture is amazing. £400 each. Projectors get a bad rep because most people have only seen cheap sd ones that upscale to 1080. A true 1080p projector properly focused in a light controlled room is as good as any tv. Plus it's 4 meters wide. Great for movies too.

You got any pictures of your projector setup? I've never seen anyone do two for gaming! That's a really cool idea! Something I hadn't even considered! No bezel - if you got them alligned perfectly then it should work!

I bought my Fury X cards for $345 and $305. They are on sale typically for $300 - $340 these days. Watch slickdeals.net for good prices. They are monster cards at high resolutions. Here check this out.

Holy crap. 40fps on battlefield 4 at 3 x 4k. Thats like 1.5 billion pixels. Can't do photos now because I'm at work, I will put some up later.
You can line up the projectors and it just leaves a very thin line but it's difficult to achieve. However I use software from these guys www.nthusim.com (expensive but worth it) you overlap the two screens and it blends it together to make a totally seamless picture. I find two monitors gives a more comfortable fov than three. Really happy with it. When they come down in price I may swap them for 4k projectors but currently they cost like £10000 a piece, slightly out of my budget. Lol

What exactly does the nthusim software do? I guess I don't understand? Can you compare that software to something like flawless widescreen which is what I use (freeware) that allows me to center my huds and such on the middle monitor or expand the resolution beyond typical resolutions with a workable FOV.
tezboz_jam Dec 20, 2016 @ 1:49am
No. Nthusim doesn't change any game assets. It allows you to remap the image to perfectly fit your screen and you can overlap the two images in the center and line them up to remove the 'bezel' here is a video I found of someone doing the same thing as me but with a curved screen.
